Summer 2021

Make The Most Of Your Summer!

Catch Up. Get Ahead.

We know how COVID-19 has impacted students world-wide. This summer is an excellent opportunity to fill the gaps left from hybrid or Zoom instruction. We are offering several week-long workshops to help children successful bridge to the next grade level, hone in on their reading or writing skills or for those who missed out on science this past year, enjoy a hands-on Adventure Island Science Camp. In addition, our one-to-one tutoring allows students to learn at their own pace in a truly personalized environment. Our customized scheduling makes it possible to take family vacations, sleep in, and catch up for the Fall semester. Whether your child wants to sharpen their reading and writing skills, prepare for the next algebra class or work on critical readiness skills--they can make it happen at Activ8!

One-On-One Tutoring:

Building Strong Readers Remediation
(Grades K - 6)

Reading ability: the number one indicator of future academic success. Activ8’s literacy instructors are trained to inspire all types of readers: dyslexic readers, children with eye-tracking challenges, gifted and talented readers and reluctant readers. Activ8 offers a comprehensive summer reading camp that includes reading, writing and comprehension. Camp instructors are reading specialists, expert in dyslexia, auditory and visual processing, speech deficits and other learning differences. Students receive a giant boost in their weakest areas! This intensive program features a multi-sensory, phonemic Orton-Gillingham approach, which can produce dramatic results.

Reading Skills for Academic Success
(Grades 7 - 12)

Reading skills are critical for success in higher-level academics and job settings. Our Reading Skills for Academic Success summer program helps students become more effective readers. All instruction is tailored to your child’s needs, occurring in fiction, non-fiction, scientific literature, primary source materials or poetry.

Summer Writing Lab
(Grades K - 12)

Our Summer Writing Lab gives your child individualized instruction on core writing skills, allowing the freedom to write about topics of interest. Non-fiction work can include research papers, persuasive essays or informative essays. Fiction work can employ a variety of genres, including mystery, science fiction, and poetry. Our instructors are trained to work with early writing through advanced high school students. They support writers who face challenges such as dysgraphia and ADHD. And, unlike other learning centers and schools, you get to pick your time slot and week!

Math Foundations
(Grades K- 12)

Math is the most sought-after subject at Activ8. Our Math Foundations summer program provides custom instruction, designed specifically for your child. Our team will assess your child’s current skill level and designs curriculum just for them. One tutor works with your child for the entire session. Your child’s progress determines the pace. Content includes beginning math through AP.
